On this year's Architecture Day, we showcased a small building in a special location:
The new operations center at the Müllerstraße bus depot complements a historic, Expressionist complex dating from the 1920s. From here, the daily operations of approximately 230 buses on about 40 routes in northern Berlin are coordinated and monitored.
The timber structure, which we designed and Möhring Architekten built, was specifically tailored to the facility’s requirements. At the same time, expansive views create a direct connection to the depot and its daily activities. With its dark red anodized aluminum façade, the architecture echoes the color palette of the historic buildings and blends seamlessly into the existing complex.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, two guided tours took place. We were delighted that so many architecture enthusiasts came out despite the heat!
